Do you have some spare time that you could put to good use?

At the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity we are always keen to hear from people who would like to help us as we always have events and projects that would benefit from voluntary help.

Some require regular commitment such as working in one of our charity shops in either Ipswich or Fakenham, but a few hours helping at an event on an ad hoc basis is just as valuable to us.

We are also always pleased to hear from anyone who would like to play a bigger role as a volunteer by becoming an 'ambassador' for the charity.  These are people who attend events on our behalf when an organisation has raised some money for us and would like to present the cheque to someone.  It sometimes involves giving a short talk or presentation about the charity as well.

All our volunteers are fully supported by the Fundraising Co-ordinator for their area and, where necessary, training is also given.  We also, from time to time, arrange social events at which our volunteers to get to know charity staff and each other.

Throughout the year we are very busy attending many events with our promotional and fundraising stand.  We always need volunteers to help with these.  

We have some areas at the moment that are in particular need of volunteers.

 In particular we would like some help with  collections in  Ipswich

Are you able to lend a hand with a collection at Ipswich Town's Football Ground in Portman Road on Saturday April 30th?  We have been invited by the club to carry out a charity collection ahead of the last home game of the season against Preston, from midday until kick off at 3pm.  If you are able to help please contact our Ipswich office on 01473 745007. 

Across Norfolk we are always looking for people who can help in a variety of ways.  It could be assisting at an official collection outside a supermarket or in the street.  Perhaps you would like to train as one of our ambassadors and give talks about the charity and attend cheque presentations on our behalf.  There are so many things that our wonderful volunteers help with that whatever time and effort you could give would be very much appreciated.  If you are in Norwich or North Norfolk and would like to help us in this way please contact Jess Down by ringing 01603 489406 or by email

West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire area role you would be attending some of the major events with a stand that involves setting up a gazebo/marquee and you'll need either a large estate car or a small van to transport the stall and fundraising materials.

This volunteering position would suit a couple or a group of friends.  It is a great opportunity to see some of the  main days out in our region as well as helping the air ambulance charity.  For further information pleae contact Chris Donaldson, our fundraising manager for the area.
